We all swear we'll never be like our parents
when we have kids. We’ll never treat our children the way they treated us.
The truth is, for the majority of you, anyway, you will. Because it’s all you know.
I have to try so hard to change.

It's official
I start basic training on June 12. And from what I’ve learned about time, that really isn’t that far off. Tech school, which starts right after boot camp, is roughly 4 months, so I’ll be on the mainland for about 6 months.

I guess I might as well make this public now
I’m joining the military. Air Force Reserves, to be exact. I’ve already started the process and am taking the ASVAB on Wednesday. It’s the best bang for the buck when it comes to life, so to speak. I’ll be working with computers, what I’ve always wanted to do, and will get the training and certifications for all of it, while getting paid. Then when I get back,...
